Smoking in public, what are your opinions?

Smoking does not bother me - I grew up with grandparents who smoked like chimneys and lived to old age. Perfume, however, is another story. Perfume has many similar ingredients and worse than cigarette smoke yet it is acceptable for someone to put on half a bottle and go out to an event, a restaurant and stink up the air freely. Give me cigarette smoke anytime! Smokers are much more considerate than perfume wearers.
